Cambridge Terrace Extension
Project management services were provided for the successful delivery of the procurement and construction phases of the Cambridge Terrace extension, a key infrastructure project enhancing connectivity within Old Papatoetoe. The project established a new transport link between Puhinui Road, Stadium Reserve, and the town centre, supporting improved access for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
The works included new road construction, upgraded intersections, widened footpaths, separated cycle facilities, and low-speed street design to enhance safety and usability. Integrated stormwater solutions, including swales and detention systems, were implemented to improve resilience and water quality.
Delivered in alignment with the wider masterplan, the project forms a critical component of the Stadium Reserve upgrade and broader urban regeneration of the area.

STADIUM RESERVE
Project management services were provided for the procurement and construction phases of the upgrade and revitalisation of Stadium Reserve, transforming an underutilised open space into a vibrant community asset. The project was delivered to support a growing and diverse population, creating a safe, accessible, and attractive civic space at the heart of Old Papatoetoe.
The works included delivery of new recreational facilities such as a playground and basketball half court, enhanced pedestrian and cycle pathways to support active transport, and improved lighting for safety. The project also incorporated extensive landscaping, retention of mature trees, and additional planting to strengthen the green canopy.
Stormwater management solutions were integrated to improve environmental performance, while the design—developed in collaboration with Mana Whenua and key stakeholders—ensures the reserve meets the long-term needs of the community.

LAGOON EDGE
Project management services were provide for the successful delivery of the procurement and construction phases of the Lagoon Edge Reserve upgrade, enhancing a key public space within Panmure as part of wider town centre revitalisation initiatives. The project transformed the reserve into a more accessible, functional, and inviting community environment.
The scope included new public amenities such as seating, picnic areas, drinking fountains, public toilets, and a dedicated skatepark spectator area. Upgraded pathways, improved lighting, expanded open space, and comprehensive landscaping with native planting were also delivered to enhance usability and safety.
Developed in collaboration with Auckland Council, the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board, and Mana Whenua, the project integrates cultural design elements and acknowledges the historical significance of the area. The outcome supports community wellbeing while contributing to the broader vision for Panmure’s growth and connectivity

Highbrook Crossing Plaza Refurbishment
Design management, consenting, procurement and construction management of a refurbishment project to improve the public amenity to the heart of the Highbrook development. The project included new architectural steel and glass canopies, new seating and landscaping areas to a central plaza. The project also included façade adjustments and base-build works to the existing buildings to adjust the use to align with the new plaza amenity.

HAYMAN PARK PLAYGROUND
As part of the Transform Manukau programme, Eke Panuku is progressing Stage 2 of a destination playground in Hayman Park which includes a play tower, bump track, flow bowl, rope play, flying fox, play equipment and basketball half court. Bluewater is managing the completion of design, procurement, construction management and Engineer to the Contract for these works.

Waiwharariki Anzac Square – Takapuna
Eke Panuku has successfully redeveloped part of the Anzac Street carpark and adjoining sites at 30-38 Hurstmere Road to create a site large enough to achieve both a public space and mixed-use developments to enhance and revitalise the area. Construction of the town square included grading and paving, landscaping, fountain, street furniture, art installations, play equipment and lighting upgrades. Bluewater managed the completion of design, procurement, construction management and Engineer to the Contract roles for these works covering approximately 3,200 square metres.
